Loop Survival Checklist

A practical pre-run and mid-run list for Alpha liminal Days — graphics to EXIT.

Loop Survival Checklist Tool

Print this mentally before you press Play on Loop [ALPHA]. The game asks for max graphics, warns about loud noises and flashing lights, and throws you into a liminal roguelike where missions, collections, entities, anomalies, coins, upgrades, flashlight play, PopUp.exe, and EXIT hunting all compete for attention. This checklist is the Tools Hub’s workhorse — use it every session, especially after reading Alpha status.

1) Machine & graphics (do this in the lobby)

  • Set Roblox graphics toward the maximum your hardware can hold steady. The place description recommends max graphics for a reason: EXIT signage, entity silhouettes, and anomaly tells hide in mud if you crank performance too low.
  • Disable heavy overlays (discord GPU pops, noisy FPS monitors) that wash out CRT-green or fluorescent contrast.
  • Confirm headset or speakers work. Audio is part of the threat model; playing muted is a self-nerf.
  • If you are photosensitive, respect the flashing-light warning — take breaks, lower bloom if your client allows, or skip sessions when needed.

New to the experience? Pair this block with Getting Started.

2) Flashlight discipline

  • Know your flashlight bind before the first dark corner.
  • Treat light as information, not a disco party. Sweep intersections, then click off if light itself attracts attention in your current build.
  • Never shoulder-check a long hall without a quick beam pass — Alpha lighting can hide smiles in the static.
  • In co-op, stagger flashlight duty so one player watches rear while another reads signage.

If a patch changes battery or toggle rules, re-check Updates before blaming “broken lights.”

3) Coin & upgrade goals

Decide a money plan before greed takes over:

  • Early Day: prioritize survivability upgrades and information tools over cosmetic flex.
  • Set a coin floor you refuse to spend below if tonight’s goal is escape rather than collection completion.
  • Bank surplus only after you know whether the shop reset rules changed this week (Alpha volatility).
  • Do not tunnel on coins while an entity trail is fresh — dead players drop runs, not just wallets.

Economy numbers will move; the habit of naming a goal before shopping will not.

4) Entity awareness block

Keep the living threats in working memory. Cross-reference the Entities hub and Tier List for detail, then tick:

  • Smilers — assume hostile grins in peripheral dark; do not “confirm” with your face in their hitbox.
  • MineSpider — watch floors, vents, and sudden skitter audio; path wide around suspicious clusters.
  • Standing Man — if something is too still in a liminal corridor, that is the puzzle. Break line of sight on your terms.
  • Unknown anomalies — Alpha will add or retune oddities. If the environment “wrong,” slow down and call it.

Scripts that ESP these threats are tempting and banned — read Scripts instead of downloading malware.

5) Mission & collection hygiene

  • Read the active mission text twice. Alpha UI can be terse.
  • Finish a mission when you are already in that wing; backtracking through entity dens for one checkbox is how wipes start.
  • Collections are long-term; do not sacrifice a clean EXIT attempt for a dubious pickup unless that is today’s stated goal.
  • If a mission softlocks, leave the lobby, note repro steps, and report via the group on Links / Alpha status.

6) EXIT hunt protocol

When the run pivots from looting to leaving:

  • Call EXIT hunt in chat so co-op partners stop private side quests.
  • Prefer routes with multiple escapes from dead ends; liminal geometry loves false corridors.
  • Watch for literal EXIT signage and environmental contradictions that mark the way out — details live in How to EXIT.
  • Keep one player on “rear security” while the caller navigates.
  • If EXIT is missing or uninteractable, treat it as Alpha breakage first, personal failure second; verify on Updates.

7) PopUp.exe caution

Loop includes a PopUp.exe beat in its systems fantasy. Checklist rules:

  • Do not rage-click through sudden UI or CRT-static faces without reading what the prompt is asking.
  • Assume pop interactions can be timed, baited, or punishing in Alpha — pause, breathe, decide.
  • Never confuse in-game PopUp.exe flavor with real desktop malware. If a website asks you to download Popup.exe to “unlock Loop scripts,” close the tab.
  • After a scary pop event, reassess flashlight and formation before sprinting blindly.

8) Co-op tips (servers up to 30)

  • Stack with people who will use callouts; mute griefers early.
  • Split into buds of 2–3 if the lobby is huge — thirty uncoordinated flashlights is chaos.
  • Share coin intent: escape fund vs collection fund.
  • Revive or regroup plans beat hero solos in dark intersections.
  • Agree on a reset rule: after two wipes to the same entity pattern, change routes instead of repeating pride.

Solo is valid. Co-op just multiplies both safety and noise.

9) Post-run review (90 seconds)

  • What killed you — entity, softlock, greed, or disorient?
  • Did graphics/audio settings fail you?
  • One note to keep for tomorrow’s Day.
  • Any patch weirdness to compare against Updates or report through Gazing at the Moon links?

Run the list cold before your next fluorescent hallway. Alpha rewards players who prepare more than players who paste cheats.
